“Gone are the days!” by Samoan Poet Marina Alefosio

I love this sister of mine! South Auckland Poets Collective (SAPC) member, Marina Alefosio,  was 1 of 10 poets that travelled to San Francisco in July 2012 to attend the Brave New Voices conference. It was an exhilariting experience for all. The SAPC team visited other cities during their time in USA where they were provided with opportunities to share the stage with fellow American poets. Here is a video link to Marina’s performance of her thought-provoking spoken word piece at the world famous venue Nuyorican Poets Cafe in NEW YORK:

Also,  check out the highlights from Marina’s trip to the USA with the South Auckland Poets Collective:

Recently, six new members were selected from a group who had auditioned to join Marina and the SAPC team. New and exciting things lie ahead for the SAPC team with the fresh voices that will soon be shared on stage. I’m looking forward to it all and I shall keep you posted!
