Creativetalanoa.com was created by Maryanne Pale on January 7th 2012. Maryanne is an educator, Tongan by ethnicity, born and raised in New Zealand and is currently residing in Australia.  Led by her interest in poetry, prose, spoken word and all things creative; stories and inspiration from lived experiences of special guests are shared on this blog in the form of *talanoa. In addition, insights into her work and her engagement with various communities are also provided on this blog through her reflective writing.

*Talanoa is a pan-Pacific term and is used widely across Oceania.
