Creativetalanoa.com is a New Zealand based blog that shares and celebrates the stories, experiences and inspiration of creatives. The blog was created on January 7th 2012 by Maryanne Pale out of her love for poetry, spoken word and all things creative hence her decision to name the blog as Creative Talanoa.
The term talanoa in the Tongan language denotes as “to talk (in an informal way), to tell stories or relate experiences, to talk about, or to say” (Churchward, 1959, p447). The term talanoa is also used in the Fijian and Samoan languages.
The special guests who are featured on this blog have shared their stories, experiences and inspiration in the form of talanoa with Maryanne Pale. To read, please visit the homepage and click on the tab labelled as “Creative Talanoa with Special Guests”.
